The Tourism Summit 2011, which will be held on Wednesday 13 July 2011 at Te Papa in Wellington and hosted by TIA (Tourism Industry Association NZ), is now open for registrations. Early bird registrations are available until 24 June.
The Tourism Summit 2011 will host up to 200 industry players from New Zealand tourism businesses as well as representatives from the government and business research sectors. As a delegate you have the chance to participate in debates on how to take New Zealand’s tourism industry forward, and listen to influential speakers from New Zealand and overseas.
A summary of key issues the tourism industry faces as well as solutions will be presented. With the elections coming up, political leaders of all major parties will talk about their policies and answer questions, and economic analyses and forecasts will be outlined. Another topic will be the impacts of shocks on the tourism industry including Middle East upheavals and earthquakes.
Keynote speakers for the Tourism Summit 2011 are New Zealander of the Year 2010 Sir Ray Avery, All Whites Coach Ricki Herbert and Tourism Australia Managing Direcetor Andrew McEvoy.
Early Bird Registrations cost NZ$195 plus GST for TIA members, and NZ$245 plus GST for non-TIA members. To register, click here.
