It has just been announced that this year’s Meetings will be held in Rotorua’s Energy Events Centre on 22 June and 23 June 2011. Meetings, New Zealand’s premiere conference and incentive trade show, was initially scheduled to take place in Christchurch. However, as the city rebuilds after the February earthquake it has been decided to move Meetings 2011 to Rotorua.

The show brings together sellers and buyers and this year 500 industry people are expected to participate. Meetings will host buyers from New Zealand, Asia, Australia and the US. Rotorua Convention Bureau manager Denise Siviter says: “Rotorua is a great alternative destination to host Meetings and, with direct trans-Tasman flights from Sydney, it was a natural fit for Air New Zealand, which is the principal sponsor. […] We look forward to welcoming all participants to the region and showcasing the many attractions it has to offer.”
