Following a complete brand relaunch by Scenic Circle Hotels, this iconic hotel group will now operate under the name Scenic Hotel Group. New Zealand’s largest 100 percent locally owned and operated hotel group will now market its 18 properties under two distinct brands – Heartland Hotels and Scenic Hotels.
All hotels will move towards carrying an official Qualmark rating (the internationally recognised rating for New Zealand’s tourism operators) to emphasise Scenic Hotel Group’s quality assurance.
After recently completing an $8 million renovation on the Southern Cross Hotel in Dunedin, the Scenic Hotel Group have also brought two more West Coast properties into the group and in September 2009 will have the new $25 million eco-designed five-star Te Waonui Forest Retreat in Franz Josef (the only property to maintain its own unique brand).
The new branding allows the company to clearly communicate the style, location andquality of each hotel. The regional properties throughout New Zealand that are characterised by their good value and friendly down-to-earth staff have been grouped under the Heartland brand while the major centres and resort-based properties fall under the Scenic brand.
All Scenic and Heartland Hotels will remain proudly New Zealand owned and continue to offer genuine Kiwi hospitality nationwide.
